Vision and Mission
3. Trust Aoraki’s Vision and Mission is to provide support to enable community well-being by maximising financial support for local communities
Philosophies
4. Trust Aoraki is guided by the following philosophies:
4.1 “Locals for locals” – Trust Aoraki ensures that 100% of available grant funds raised within a local community (typically defined by territorial local authority boundaries) are distributed within that local community. However, the Board may, at their discretion, apply and distribute funds generated from one area into another area where the Board considers there is a community of interest between the two areas. Trust Aoraki also ensures decisions about grant funding are directed by personnel in the local community where possible.
4.2 “Excellence” – Trust Aoraki supports grant funding for ‘excellence’, namely applicants are required to demonstrate they are achieving at a high level.
4.3 “Participation” – Trust Aoraki supports grant funding where the community benefit is maximised ensuring benefit from the grant is wide reaching.
4.4 “Economic Drivers” – Trust Aoraki support grant funding for events or tournaments where the community will receive an economic benefit.
